Ancient, Punch Marked Coinage, Magadha Mahajanapada (c. 6th-4th Century BC), Series 1, Silver Karshapana, 3.00 gms, 26.76x30.48 mm, Obverse: Punches of Sun, Six-arm, Flower, Tree, Arched design, Reverse: Traces of an older obverse, Series 1 is generally attributed to the period of Magadha under the Haryanka and Shishunaga dynasties and hence could be contemporary to the lifetime of Buddha, very fine, very rare.
