Mughal, Akbar (AH 963-1014, 1556-1605 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.43 gms, 22.85 mm, Agra Mint (partially visible at bottom quadrant on obv), AH 963, Kalima Type, square-area on both sides, Akbar's Coronation - Year 1 took place in Kalanaur, Punjab, in AH 963 / 1556 AD (February 14, 1556 AD), following the death of his father, Humayun. He was only 13 years old at the time. The ceremony occurred on a newly constructed brick platform, and he was proclaimed Shahanshah (King of Kings) by Bairam Khan who was also responsible for securing Akbar's succession and consolidating Mughal power after Humayun's death, it is very difficult to find AH 963 Coins of Akbar the great, very collectible, KM # 80.1, test marks overall very fine, rare.
